Artist’s Statement:
I do not believe that art is confined to one form. I feel that art takes on many forms, and thusly, many different styles. It is a minor concern, but I would estimate that since most of my work takes on a design style, some people in the art world my not feel that it is indeed, “Fine Art”! I would like to counter this by simply stating that any art with a message, is fine.
I strive to perfect my craft, expand my style, and open my perception wider than ever before. I enjoy reaching across age boundaries, culture, and understanding based on background. I want EVERYONE to enjoy what I do, as much as I enjoy doing it. I don’t want to produce something that is so elaborate in message, that it is out of reach to the everyman. I want my work to be enjoyed by any who sees it.
I can conclude that yes – comics, video games, design, nature, and the need born of desperation from being an only child to find entertainment, has indeed shaped my style and my visual statement. I only strive to grow as an artist, teacher, and steward of Earth in my search for artistic perfection.
